My HCG Blog
Day 29 of VLCD - Rosemarie
Posted by: Rosemarie1369 |I lost another 3 lbs, so I am down 21.5 lbs! I tried on a skirt that I bought in February and it is now too big. A friend of mine who is not doing the HCG diet has been a great motivation, since she has lost quite a bit of weight and is looking great! Now a lady at my work started the HCG diet, since she has seen me lose the weight!
And as an additional benefit, I have not noticed any aching in my knees due to my osteoarthritis! I'm feeling great!
Day 25 of VLCD - Rosemarie
Posted by: Rosemarie1369 |I have lost a total of 18.5 lbs. The last few days have been hard, because two of the days I did not see any loss. I'm wondering if it is because I normally get the weekly power shot on Friday, and because the lady who gives the shots was on vacation for a week, I had to wait an extra 3 days before getting the next shot on Monday. Then I experienced no loss on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hmmm, I wonder if I should have done a loading because of the wait between shots. I lost 0.5 lbs today, so hopefully I'm back on track.
three weeks into diet hit plateu
Posted by: babycakes |I have been in the diet for three weeks now and have lost 18 pounds . Its really easy but I hit a plateu and am a little discouraged, I didn't think I would hit a plateu this early in the game. I'm going to try the 6 apple day and try that I hope it works.
Day 16 of VLCD - Rosemarie
Posted by: Rosemarie1369 |I've lost another 3.5 lbs since my last entry. I did well over the 4th of July weekend, although it wasn't easy. Husband and I went shopping, and he was buying chips, Nutter Butter cookies, etc. When he picked up the Cracker Jacks, I gave him "the look" and he sheepishly put them back. I spent all weekend fighting a craving for Nutter Butters.
I'm proud of how much I've lost. I am now below 215 lbs, and I've lost 5.5 inches. I keep reminding myself to just take it 5 lbs at a time, because if I think of how much I have to lose, it gets depressing. The good news is that it is coming off pretty quickly (4.5 lbs in a week is awesome!) and I can now wear my jeans without praying that the button holds!
Day 7 Round 2 - Amati
Posted by: Amati |I lost a pound! That makes me hopeful! I can't wait to see what happens over the next few days. This being a long weekend, it is easier for me to control my food intake for a little longer. We don't have any big celebration plans, so this should go well!
Day 6 Round 2 - Amati
Posted by: Amati |Things are going well. I'm not gaining anything :) and I'm on pace to start the Plan B today. I'm supposed to cut back my carbohydrates (fruits and veggies) to just field greens and increase my fat and protien intake. I get to have more meat (two to three times as much) and I even get to have cheeses! I love cheese, especially cottage cheese. I also get to have eggs. I do this for the next 13 days, and then I get to start "carb loading" - read eat pretty much what I want - on the weekends. Then it is 5 days on protiens and two days on what I want until I get to the weight I desire. I think the key is keeping an eye on the number of calories I'm taking in. For the weight I desire, I can eat up to 1800 calories a day. So, that is what I'm going to shoot for, no matter which plan I am on!
Day 11 of VLCD - Rosemarie
Posted by: Rosemarie1369 |I lost another 1.5 lbs since my last entry. I think I'm ready to start trying some different recipes from the book. I am going to try to make the stir fry sometime this weekend and see how it turns out. I don't have any plans for the 4thof July, so staying on track shouldn't be a problem.
Day 5 Round 2 - Amati
Posted by: Amati |I seem to be doing alright. No change in weight. I'm working on paying attention to do I want to eat or am I hungry. I'm also paying attention to do I want more or am I still hungry. These are keys, I think, to what I need to watch until I start the next step in the grand scheme of the diet. I'm finding that I used to eat just because something sounded good, not because I was hungry. Or I would eat more than I really wanted because it was easier to eat it than to put it away. Changes in those habits could have huge impacts on me in the long run.
Day 4 of Round 2 - Amati
Posted by: Amati |Okay, I went to the diet center yesterday and have my next plan of attack... but I can't implement it until Friday! So, in the mean time, I'm just trying to eat reasonably. I'm not on Plan A, I'm not on Plan B, I'm in limbo. So, I'm usingg the guidelines they gave me for my diet break - you know, eating pretty much what I want, but eating reasonably and paying attention to my weight. Then Friday, I start the new plan.
Day 9 of VLCD - Rosemarie
Posted by: Rosemarie1369 |Lost another 0.5 lbs. I'm going to continue to make a conscious effort to keep track of the amount of water I'm drinking... and what time. Definitely need to slow down at night - I don't like waking up at 1:00 am because I have to go!
